The Central Coast has many different locations within the region that are a must-see. Each area offers something a little different, and each equally as fun and exciting as the next.

Gosford Region

The region that is Gosford on the Central Coast has beautiful, tranquil National Parks and stunning waterways and beaches. There is so much on offer in this region, including swimming, surfing, kayaking, deep-sea diving, fishing, bushwalking, horse-riding and mountain biking. The region takes in Beachside suburbs of Terrigal, Avoca and Copacabana and then further inland to areas like Somersby, Mangrove Mountain and Glenning Valley.

The seaside suburbs include Terrigal, Avoca and Killcare which are well known for their gorgeous beaches and stunning coastlines, while Ettalong Beach, Woy Woy and Gosford are located on Brisbane Water, a more tranquil waterway, ideal for swimming, boating and fishing.

The beachside suburbs offer surf lessons in the summer, and most beaches are fully patrolled during these months.

There is plenty to do in the way of outdoor activities. Glenworth Valley is fantastic for horse riding and hikes through the Brisbane Water and Bouddi National Parks. There are stunning waterfalls and hidden beaches along the trails and fantastic vantage points for whale watching such a Gerrin Point lookout.

The Hawkesbury River is great for kayaking, and the oceans surrounding the coast are perfect for some deep-sea game fishing. Just off the coast of Avoca Beach is the Ex warship HMAS Adelaide that was sunk to create an artificial reef. This suits divers of all levels of experience and is a fantastic activity for your Central Coast holiday.

The Central Coast is rich in Aboriginal history and you can take tours to see rock engravings and learn about the tribes of the Central Coast.
